Not a professional submission by any means, but I only had a couple days to get it in from when I was aware of the contest.
The contest was to design a creature for a video game.

Don't get discouraged...

it is good to enter competitions....and I have been doing so nearly 28 years now. Mad at the moment I missed the Federal Duck stamp competition deadline! Drats...

We measure ourselves by these things....and the stiffer the competition the better IMO...because winning an easy contest means little. Getting close can even be great if you show consistency.

Myself, I've been a finalist or runner-up 23 of 33 times entering state and national wildlife art competitions...won our state's Inland trout stamp competition just a few years ago...and a coveted Wisconsin Wildlife Artist of the Year contest.

What means more to me though...is how often I came close, but no cigar! That says a lot. Your unwillingness to not be put off or discouraged. To bounce right back and start planning for next year.

I saw your entree...and it is a nice clean drawing...imaginative and so forth.

Don't know what to say...didn't see the rules or the entrees of competitives, but I'll just say...bounce back into the game! Winners never quit, quitters never win! You'll do even better next time!

This is cool! I love designing characters like that :D We should sometime have a battle of the beasts!!! It'd be sweet :D ;)

Looked at your drawing (nice, well thought out and clean) and at the winners.....interesting....their choices....who can say?

Try, try, again....contests are that way I suppose.....
