Good Morning yall!

I ran across the "Warning" poem by Jenny Joseph yesterday, and found myself thinking of my mom...pure inspiration! The first set is in Bullseye glass..purple and red.

Second set is so striking, I just couldn't capture it in a picture! Moretti Ivory, Turquoise, Intense Black and Silvered Ivory.

**guess I should actually include pictures. :p

Yep, posting the pictures DOES help! Hehehehe!!!! VERY lovely stuff! Fantastic colors!!! I'm drooling!!!

I haven't posted anything in days, but I've been a beadmaking fool ~ seizing every opportunity my DH gives me to bolt for the shop and fire up the torch...

Let's see here...

NJot sure if I showed this one already, but I called this one Fudge Ripples, pretty cool... all Moretti...

Under the Sea, my first set in Bullseye - man, I LOVE this glass!!!!

Tangy Tapestries, another fun set in Moretti with EDP. I can't resist using it...

Stardust, done in Moretti with silver foil, black, white and grays...

A different variation of encased florals... JUST put clear over each flower, making them kinda sunken...

Okay, even though I have more, I'll quit hogging for now! ;)

Let's see what everyone else has done!!!

Juls - Gorgeous!! I would love to hold that second set in real life and then I'll be able to tell you just how striking they really are....

Debby - you amaze me how you can make so many sets, aack, that would take me a year and a day! They are all beautiful, and my favorite is Under the Sea, don't you just love BE?! ;)

Toni - Your Gaffer beads are stunning, and the shapes - perfect! What rich color! :)

I've been sick with this horrible cold, so no beadies from me, except my "Gaffer Sort of Look-Alike". It's Spectrum clear with Val's Tangerine, and Ruby Extra Gold frit. Gosh, I'm dying to try the Gaffer, but can never get any! (pout) I know, I know, most of us are in the same boat, that stuff is real hard to get!

Juls glorious sets!

Wow Debby you have been very busy making mouthwatering beadies!

Toni ravishing focals!

Lisa luscious Gaffer wannabe!

A few more small Moretti sets. I don't know why my mind has been all over the place lately & I can't focus long enough to do more than 5 or 6 beads in a set
Enchanting Purple, Silver Amber Reefs, Silver Sapphire Seas

WOW!! Some gorgeous beadies already in this thread! I'm kinda foggy since I should already be in bed at this point, so I'm just going to keep this short. I haven't posted in a while, but I promised my WC Gathering buddies that I would try to post more often.

Lisa, you and I must be on the same wavelength. I also have been fighting a terrible cold and haven't been able to torch much lately and I have been making 'pseudo gaffer cane', too! If you can't get it, fake it I say. LOL.

Here is my attempt. I only used Uroboros. No frits.

Yikers! Nice way to wake up on a Saturday everyone!

Here's mine for today! Pale green trans and pink then etched. I wasn't sure about this set until I etched them. Then I fell in love. I'm kinda hoping they won't sell on eBay so I can make something with them! But, then again, I always say that. I have trouble parting with my beads. But, a girl's gotta eat or, in my case, buy more glass!

Have a great day!
Blessings,
Leslie

I love that gaffer, even the "faux". But if I buy one more thing this week, I think Matt will drown me. ;)

Thanks for the great start to me Saturday. I know it's already kind of late but I only get to sleep in once in a while and I had some chores to get done first. yuck!!!

Here is a bunch of pillows that I've been making. I love squishing them. They are all Moretti with just about every bright color I had.

OOOOooo! Red and Purple. Those are gonna move!
Debby, what the heck is that color on the last set? I wanna say purple, but I also wanna say silver pink? or powder pink? It's interesting to say the least.
Gosh, you guys have all got me pumped up and ready to hit the torch. I have a special order, and havta get stuff done, cause we're moving my studio this week. It's my anniversary present, 30yrs, not bad for people who dated for six weeks.
Anyway, going to go play with fire now!

Great show and tell today. It's always fun to see what everyone is up to.

I've been playing with frit, silver and enamels lately. Finally figuring out more about making organics. That's what I used for the first 2 pics. The 3rd pic is of the new light silver plum with ocelot spots and opaque gold ruby. The silver plums seem to be pretty reactive so I think we are going to have some fun with them. Can hardly wait to finish all my "chores" today so I can go play!

Well, actually, it's bright violet. The spacers were etched to take off the silvery sheen...
