Would someone tell me why this web page runs off my screen on the side? I have this happen sometimes and it's verra verra annoying!! I'm sure it's a setting on my computer, but I don't know what they all mean or which one to change??

And super nice displays!

It's not your computer...it's in her code. She needs to fix it because it takes away from the beauty of her glass.

Thank you for the compliments I didnt make these my student did Hes the master crafstman, I recieved a few stopper displays thats all for the cocobolo.

They are even better in person.

Im curious as to which page or pages is doing this? I see nothing I went back to look at each page and they all look fine ( and I see all of the pictures on all the pages) I wonder if other pages are doing this and I dont see it? Thanks for pointing it out to me but I am not sure what to do.

Well I checked it with IE & Netscape and it still runs off the screen. About 1/3 isn't showing unless I slide the page back and forth.

I just figured it was some setting I had wrong, but I rarely have this problem.

Hope you figure it out,

:)Karen

I used IE at work and AOL at home and it did it to both. I'm not a web expert however I did do my own site with around 100 pages. I make my table width 80% and have never had a problem with pages needing to be scrolled side to side. I notice your's is at 100%. Maybe a web geek out there can look at your code and tell you exactly how to fix it. BTW, all the glass is wonderful!

I too had to scroll right on each line to read the web page. I thought perhaps because I had my computer set at 800 x 600 display, that in changing it to the 1024x768 pixel display on my screen would correct that - but it didn't. Even with things appearing smaller on my screen, it did not change the need to scroll back and forth.

Stacy, what someone was trying to explain to you, is whatever program you use to make your web page, it converts it into html language, and the html language is showing that you have set the perameters of your web page to 1252 characters to show on each line of the web page.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>FIne SIlver Jewelry Fine art glass beads and sterling silver Jewelry</TITLE>
<META http-Equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<META name="GENERATOR" content="MSHTML 6.00.2800.1400">
<META name="ThemeName" content="Template_25">
<META name="CreatedAppVer" content="5, 0, 7, 3">
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript src="gdsImageSwapping.js"></SCRIPT>

This is your html language for the start of your web page. So you need to see if you can delete or change that character set of 1252 because most computer monitor users either set their display at 800 or 1024.

Where can I find the bottoms for the wine stoppers? I bought some of these stoppers that had a chrome top. I thought that I would be able to remove the chrome ball. Bummer... no Luck. Anyone know where to just get the bottoms?
Thanks,
Heather

Stacylynne,
you need to set the width of your web pages smaller. It looks okay to you on your monitor but a lot of people have theirs set at 800 pixels wide (or even less.)

I set my webpages at about 700 pixels. This is what that width looks like (http://www.flameonglass.com/directory.html)

It may look a little small on your monitor but it won't run off the screen on most people's monitors.

I agree that having to scroll over makes looking at your beautiful work hard for some of us.

Thank you everyone, I chose a program that I crop and drop so I will have to call tech support as I dont have to do html it does it for me. I will get to it this weekend and I'll have you all look at it again to see if I fixed it. Thank you all trying to help me out..

Maureen I'm going to cut and paste what you wrote and send it on over to tech support make them fix it for me..

Thanks again.. StacyLynne
