i'm just trying to keep loose, and wasn't feeling very inspired. this is more of an exercise in color than composition. it's a pretty happy piece, i guess, which is nice after my last one.

You're developing a unique personal style. I like the brushstrokes and the simplicity of the series you had been doing. I'm sure that if you posted something yours without your name everybody would guess quickly who was the author! :) :) :)

Themanda: no!!!!!! no!!!!! i think that's very good!!!!!....
I went to a short art class some time ago and my teacher said something about what a true true artist is (ok, perhaps somebody will say he is not right): there are lots of people around that are really good (technically) but aren't true true artists because they "copy" the style of other artists and don't transmit a message through his (her) work that comes in a certain way from his (her) own experience.
I donīt know if anyone agrees with me but...normally artists that are outstanding, sometimes famous aside mastering a technique also have a very personal style that uniquely identifies them. :) :) :)
