Beautiful, gorgeous! Midge is really looking at us with a look that says: is this really necessary?

Look at this photo of one of my cat, they must be related in some way...

Cherie this is beautiful! I would LOVE to be able to paint a cat in watercolour!
The title also makes me smile because you have painted two cats - Molly & Midge, and they happen to be the names of my mother-in-law and her sister!!!!LOLOL!

Cherie,
This is beautiful...my only comment would be that i'd like to see the pot toned down slightly. As it is now, it's reading the same color as the cat's face and paws, and I find it competing with that. Of course it could be just my monitor...if it is, ignore my comment http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif

May I please download this for one on my students to enjoy? She is also painting cats and would love to see this, but is not on a puter.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to these. I haven't been painting lately, my husband is home recuperating from surgery.
Both paintings, 'Midge' and 'Molly', were done in '94. I have open edition prints that I have been selling, in 5"x7" and 12"x16" sizes. Thank you for all the good comments and critiques! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Cherie,

I am hypnotized by your skill of presenting CAT. How do you start, from picture or direct ?

As I scrolled down, I thought "what pretty flowers" - then I got to the cat!!! Fab painting. I do think it's a twin to Anne's cat.
