Happy Monday Everyone!

I spent all of my torch time this weekend making this set.
Simple combination of white, light iris gold in #0 and stringers pulled from rock, and silvered pink.

Juls, that is not what I'd call a "simple" combination. It's beautiful!

Here's a recent boro set. I love the pinks that you can get with boro!

I still had all the colors out from the other night. So more rubino, EDP, Copper Green, Opal Yellow, and silver foil.

Great Beads all around! I especially love the White/Iris gold set from Juls and the pink and white set from MaryBeth, but everyone has done some great work!

You should be very proud.

Here's a few sets of my own from recent torching sessions. Some are on E-bay, some aren't.

Have a great week, everyone!

Looks like some people have been busy this weekend...torching anyway. Love the BE pinks. Wow. Might have to see what a horse looks like in that combination.
Here's my putsing for the weekend....the ones I want to claim anyway..

Wow! The horses are awesome. I've never attempted any scultures before, looks hard. Is the hole from the top to the bottom of the horse? Those are great!

Hi Shari,
Great beads, especially for someone new to beadmaking. I LOVE the tea party one. It is also great that you donate to Cancer Fighting causes. Congrats and keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for the Wow! They are a challenge. The hole goes from the forelock to behind the ears and mane and is not visible from the front. The back side of this bead is flat to provide comfort and less weight. They are signed and numbered, also. You can string them on a cord (suede is a great idea) or hang them from a pin should you desire. I have posted some in the "horse sculpture tutorial" thread, also. Some on Ebay also going up tonight...

Everyone has posted beautiful work. I look forward everyday to getting on the computer here at work and seeing what everyone is doing. Marna, I have been "consumed" with organics lately, and your bead is like a vision of what I've been trying for. (Working to get the transparency and the swirls) Can you tell us any more about how you made it? If not, that's OK, but I'd love to hear.
Thanks, Lee Ann

Dear Lee Ann,
It is done with lots of layers of transparent glass, dichroic, frit and stringer. I submit this as an article for Lapidary Journal ... hopefully it will be published!
