WDE-July 17-Peaceful Pond

This is my first WDE project and I've choosen Peaceful Pond. There is lots more to do on this - foliage, boat, etc. but ran out of time. Great fun.

11" x 15" Watercolor, Arches - 2 hrs.

welcome to the WDE, Carolyn....I'm not a watercolorist but thinking that's a wet in wet technique on the foliage...very effective and i like the nice dark area that lets your eye rest. This IS very peaceful! :clap:

I'm so glad to see you join in the wonderful WDE's, and boy oh boy, did you start with a dilly of a watercolour ! The depth of your forest and the exquisite way you handled the foliage are delightful ! Hey Caroline,welcome to the wde,wow you have certainly entered with a beaut,the style and techique of the foliage and trees is superb and i like the light on the bank and the moored boats :clap: my only nit pic is the bluey boat but waiting to see the finish :D

Thanks for your comments. Haven't had time to finish this but hopefully can work on it today.
The boat is not done and it has blue misket on it. It does look weird though.

I've finished the Peaceful Pond painting. It's watercolor 11" x 15" on Arches CP. It sure has a lot of green!!!
Comments please. Always looking for better ways to do things.
