the blur at the side does it add or distract?

Good to see a clown ! Haven't seen many of them on the site and I love them.
Yours is very special. If it were mine I would accentuate the suggested clown in the back some more. It would make a nice balance in the composition. Just my opinion ...

smart work
clowns always bother me.
I never acclimated to them.
they used to scare my brother immensely so we never kept them around the house.
my ex-wife was a clown by the end of things.

still what you have done takes this weird fold in performance-oriented-reality, and makes it art with a palpable sad clown essence.

I too am not thrilled with clowns...

but the visual aspects of this piece are very good.

(blur at the sides are ok with me...I'd say they add...
an extension of shading and dimension already there)
