MY COMMENTS:
I'm new here. Appreciate input on my first post.
Thought I'd try another. I'm not into creepy sculptures, I think the spider is an excellent model
for work within my current range of skills.
This one all clear glass, oil painted. The first I ever tried. Overlit photo( a whole other art form.

Thanks for the help from the brush and pen wielders! VERY useful.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Sell-ability?
The body is a blank canvas. Any ideas.
this was just winging it.
can be spider-like or sureal.
do you like the clear legs.
Lots of options.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I have a photo of a large female garden spider that I took years ago in a Dallas farmyard.

You captured the nuances of the legs perfectly!

Your photo has a wonderful glow to it, too!

Thanks Team! It really renews my zeal crawling out of my basement studio to read your words. I've never shown my work in public before.

I'm going to work on the spider series. (and the fish) I'll post some results.

Sometime down the road...I'll really need your help when I get into more abstract subjects work and less "object"

Tscott- it looks like your orchid painting is my PC background for a while- hope you don't mind the advertisement. My wife just gave me a great idea for spider compositions...a deep or dll detritus/woddy background with a slash of brightly colored spider on it....Scott, or any painters here, you could do wonders with that.

Thanks to all!!!!!
