This was posted over in the Printmaking forum under a project on Balance. Since I've posted other of my fish here, I thought this guy should also swim this way.

The concept was to show a balance which I did using black and white/positive and negative spaces. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Title: "Checkered Copperbanded" 2004
Image Size: 5"x7"
Edition size: 100
Technical details: Linoleum print, hand-pulled on a Dick Blick Master Etch press, Fabriano Uno 140# rough watercolor paper, Graphic Chemical etching ink (oil) vine black.

Hi Dianne,
That's an interesting and original fish. The work really makes the viewer dwell on it to take in the differences in contrast and fully perceive the fish. Very good work!

Thanks, Marty... I probably should have posted this in the Animal forum, but that is water and it is a salt-water fish... (Copperbanded Butterfly). I've promised my husband a barracuda for years now. I think that will have to be my next one. They really are quite a handsome fish...
