Its been lying on the back of a closet for months, until I finally finished it yesterday. The turban has received multiple different layers of color, and Im tired of thinking, whether it would be better done with some other shade..

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Anyway, feel free to critique on it..

Totally exploiting V-As nickname...

Hi V-A and if we should call you Annukka we will. It's a bit like a family here.

Is this painting being taken towards a design, or symbolism. If the latter, the the red turban will surely be important in some kind of way. I tend to think that something important is being expressed here.

BEautifully abstract! Welcome, Annuka. I think that everything you've done on the piece is so very good.

Love the face, earrings and the tilted bowl on her head. Her dress is wonderful with the many layers. Too bad she had to sit in the closet for so long.

A very strong work!

Thanks for the compliments, Dana!

Mikey, I think you have a point there. The painting does reflect the feeling I had about the life of the woman and the red turban gives her some inner strength.

Annuka,
Quite an exotic painting. The folds of the fabric remind me of DE LEMPICKA ...
