MY COMMENTS:
I cant seem to get a good image with a digital camera they all look washed out(not a good image)
I done this painting in a way that it can be anywhere where there is water an fog but i got my image from Newfoundland , Its hard to see but if you look close enough you can see a boat comming through the fog.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:

That pole sure has a lot of personality!
Awsome textures.
I like the subtle boat in the fog. I'm glad you didn't point out the gull, it was a delight to find it on my own :)

Thanks there futurebird . I work with acrylic because i love there drying time it give me the time to paint alot of layers. i always start with a midtone color an come in with my light colors an darks. i got to say i am not the most exciting painter in the world to watch lol. but putting on alot of tin washes you can build up your colors .

The water....the fog....the wood....the rope! Beautiful, all of it. A peaceful, still scene. All beautifully accomplished.

It would be interesting to see the original source photo and a close up of say ...the landed gull to appreciate your brushwork.

I see the boat in the fog and 2 gulls in the air above waiting for a snack

the attached is yours with the midlevel contrast enhanced so that the details are visible.

Great to see a fellow Canuck, from "The Rock", posting here. This has a Coleville-ish feeling to it -- without his ominousness. Lovely attention to detail. Fine job!
