A beautiful painting, I think with the sky sufficiently repeated in the snow. A good balanced composition.

Bobbi
Where did you live in a previous life?
Didn't work hard then for sure, you had all the time in the world to absorb beautiful scenes like this.

I've been there.
Exit 234- Garden State Parkway. Take a left. Go past the Paramus Mall.
Park in the east lot,..adjacent to J.C Penney's.

Take out your binoculars. Look south.
You're there. :D

Just kidding. A beauty Bobbi. Best,-Scott

Wonderful all over. I love the sky peeking through the trees- you knew exactly where to quit!

Might be a scary trip Jerry! :)

Thanks everyone!

I could kick myself that I painted this on a piece of foam core. It might last a few years archivally speaking. Guess I'll hide the foam core from myself next time around.

Ahhh (which is the sound I make when I eat something really tasty).. this is beautiful. It looks just like a place where I used to spend my winters.

Maybe, just maybe you could break up the edge, the silhouette of the trees against the sky a bit more, let some more sky shine through here and there. Just a tiny little touch. Too much would make it worse.

Lovely. Cheers,

//Matt

Thanks Julia!

Yep, I painted on foam core. It's casein and I was going to just play around with colors. I've had these casein paints for about fifteen years. Never liked them. I may try something else and see what I can do. Will try and use a "real" surface this time. :)

The bluegreen in the hill is gorgeous! Nice work. Depth, serenity.
Minor point: have it so not all trees follow hillside on left.
