My drawing Coal Miner's Memorial was admitted into the Salmagundi Club's Non-Member Juried Art Show, and it won theCatharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Inc. Award last night.

I mostly hang out in the watercolor forum, but have browsed in colored pencil, had stumbled upon some of your posts, and looked at your website. Your work is outstanding.

That's fantastic news Arlene. I TOLD you you'd win a prize, maybe not in the right show, but I am not surprised that you won something. It's good to see someone win something who's work really deserves it.

hey christine...take a gander downtown...it's 47 fifth ave, between 12th and 13th street and anyone can go in...beautiful old brownstone. double parlor and all...the show is on till july 8th.

Many lunch periods were spent there at the Salmagundi Club - home of the annual AWS show - to name one major showing. I think it's just as prestigeous as the National Arts Club (Gramercy Park) another lunchtime hangout for me.
