Watercolour - 12 x 8 - liked this one as soon as I saw it - decided to try doing it 'normally' as opposed to posterized - am quite happy with it though I can see lots of room for improvement - especially regarding the water. Took about hour and half.

This one was on my shortlist. Nice job! It's got that relaxed, inviting feeling the photo has.

you may not be so pleased with the water but I think it captured the lazy, gentle movement quite well, I expect the boats to gently move and bump each other any second! The reflections are quite effective too and I so admire anyone who tackles watercolor...I'm at a complete loss with it! :D

Hi Pat, I think you did good with those boats! I especially like their well-used look and bold reflections in the water.

Nothin wrong with 'normal' ;-) you have done a lovely job with this - I liked this ref too -was tempted to call it 'waiting for a kiss' you have given both boats a sense of character - well done

You did a great job on these boats - boats are not easy! Nice sunlit scene, with gentle lapping water. Sigh, I can hear the gulls cry . . . oooops, getting off topic - :D Good job!

You have handled some of the details in this so much better than I did. But it is a great summer painting.

Very well done Pat. I too did this one. I really like your interpretation of it. Your reflections are great and your stairs truly look like stairs. I like your water, it truly looks "wet". LOL as water should.

You deserve to be happy with this one, Pat. The boats are well done and the reflections look like the real thing.

Lovely painting, Pat

You should be really pleased with this - you have the shapes of the boats just right & their relationship with the steps too.

The boats sit very well in the water too!

That water reflection under the near boat, including the building, is so deep I feel I could look in closer and see the barnacles and starfish ! Very nice boat shapes- nice and loose handling of the colours. Well done !!
