View Full Version : WDE 26 June - Images Here !

Hi Everyone!

Here are the photos for this week’s WDE (June 26th). I hope you like them.

All the scenes are from the beach and harbour area near where I live in Scarborough Old Town.

Here’s how the Weekend Drawing Event (WDE) will work:

You can create your “masterpiece” anytime during the weekend.

You have 1/2 hour to choose a photo

You have two hours to create your original work of art -- using whatever media you like.

You then post a new thread in the All Media Art Events section - with “WDE” and “June 26” or “6/26” in the title. Don’t forget to explain what type of medium you are using, with detail (i.e., kind of paper, paint, coloured pencils, ink, etc.)

Don’t worry if you don’t finish your painting in the 2-hour timeframe -- either post what you’ve accomplished so far, or post it later, when you are done … remember, you can always update your thread many times as you complete a project.

Here's the first 5 (of 16) photos:

1. Shop for your buckets & spades!

2. Need a beach ball?

3. Fancy a seafood snack?

4. Harry & Seamus are waiting to give your kids a ride

5. How about a speedboat ride?

Here's the next 5 photos

6. Luna Park.

7. Seagull & Lobster pots.

8. Lighthouse at the end of the pier.

9. Small boats.

10 YWA.

Thankyou for the lovely images Nina - I am unable to get the last 2, 'Chimney Pot Residence' and 'End of the Day'. Is there anything I can do to see these?

'Chimney Pot Residence' has now opened, but 'End of the Day' is still a mystery to me!

I can't start this project for several hours yet, so maybe it will open before then.

Nina, you are to be congratulated on presenting such a sumptious selection of photos for today's event! Just got back from vacationing down the West Coast of the USA and I'm struck by how much alike our waterfronts are to yours. I may take a stab at several of these this week. Thanks so much for sharing!

Beautiful images, I couldn't start yesterday, because of footbal, European championship. It was very excited. Holland won after penalties. So today I pick a photo to work from. Thanks a lot. England is beautiful. :D

These were just fabulous photos! There are a couple more I would like to do! The only problem with them is that they were so perfectly composed! You did some of the work for us, lol! Thanks for taking the time for us!
