This is the latest I've ever been on a WDE and I consider it a WIP!
All that blue on the beach is the way it was photographed. Had a cloudy day outside today and this was the best shot I could get with the Digcam! :) http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/22-Jun-2004/28168-WIP.jpg

Bertoni, great job, love your sky, the blue on the beach actually makes it look like it is darker outside that it probably is. You got an added benefit. Nice work.

Thanks much...I'm in the process now of toning down that acidic looking blue!! :)

This is really nice - love the way the winds aloft seem to be pushing the night clouds over - if you know what I mean!
Colours are lovely. :)

Wendy/Kathy & Maureen: Glad you folks liked the WIP!!
Just finished it and will have to wait till tomorrow to take a Digital photo. Can't do it with the rain & cloudy weather! Meanwhile will put a coat of clear acrylic UV on it.
ps: Acrylics 16x20 :)

The figures are terrific- so simple yet all the body language and structure required to tell the story. Lovely tree and limbs too. I really like the perspective you have here, and the cloud front moving in with such subtle colours. Absolutely lovely !

Whoops ! Almost missed this. You snuck in ! This finished wonderfully. The sky colors are so vibrant. The foilage has terrific hi-lights. Can almost hear the leaves blowing in the breeze.

So many wonderful versions of this scene this week and yours is no exception. Great job...this really has that late in the day feeling with the folks out for a stroll before bed. Your tree is really wonderful!

This is great but do you know what I really like? The two people. Spontaneous with just the right amount of suggested detail.
I'm learning alot from everybody this week.

Yes, the two people do seem to add a lot to the scene. I always think "a little humanity in a landscape doesn't hurt"! Glad you liked it...
And I agree...I find I learn a lot from these WDEs myself!! :)
