Hi all, my weekend was fabulous. I will post pictures and stories later this week. I have to catch up on what I missed in errands and family.

I just wanted to post 2 plein air. The first one is of the river. Watching a child, throwing a toy to a dog and moving my easel 5 different times but I did think the painting came out okay.

The last one was at the little park behind Casears in Tahoe. This was on Friday. I did not connect with the preplanned group because I printed off the wrong emails. Oh well I said, so I drove around for a while and decided to set up in the little park. It was a good start and will finished it. But the very last sprinkler found my head, painting and all. So, I packed up ran but not before I got soaked. Anyhow more to come. It was great and I was able to get most of the signatures and meet some not just really nice people but some FABULOUS painters.

Hi Pilan,

All of your work and enthusiasm is paying off! I notice a distinct improvement from some of your earlier posts.

I especially like the first painting. It is well composed and has nice colors.

Keep up the good work!

I agree with Frisbee, you are improving super fast. That first one is wonderful. Lorijo

I'm partial to the second painting. Interesting composition, I like the abstract quality. Sounds like you had fun, even if you did get a little wet.

Thank you all for the feedback. Sorry to say Guerilla Box but the second one is not finished, but I did like the abstract feel so this is why I posted it. I think to have a better painting you need to have a good abstract underneath and hope it turns out good. My painting abilities are Lorijo & risbee1948 come about.

After all the wonderful weekend event and more stories to tell, I hurt myself this morning. This is really horrid and just want to cry.

I think I was awake but about 8:50 this morning I was walked from my bedroom around the corner to the kitchen corner for some stupid reason my left foot did not follow my body. I cracked my next to the last toe and have a splint on it. Nothing more to do but curse and try and stay off it for a couple of days until the swelling goes down. Something seems wrong with my limbs because they sort of have a mind of their own and flail about independently.

curse curse curse, but I guess it could have been worse. Anyhow, I will be painting the magnolia blooms on my tree later today if my foot is not throbbing.

Pilan, OUCH!!! Don't do that!

Nice job on the first one. I like your composition and the movement of the brushstrokes. Second one looks like a good start. You go, girl!

Hope your foot feels better soon. :crying:
