About an hour and a half and a bit simplistic and obvious -but what the heck -I had fun with this -never tried a fire before :)
Oil on board about 29 x 40 cm oh yeah and I think the reds show a bit redder than they really are and some of the yellow bits not as clean as irl
Off to look at what I can before my kids kick me off again ......

Trish, may be simplistic but I love the colors you have and one knows what it is. It emits a lot of heat! Great job!

Great job, Trish! beautiful interpretation of the campfire. Not only do I see the figure that Li mentioned...but look closely and it's a couple dancing in a HOT embrace.

Yep - I had to look again, but I see the figure(s) - pretty impressive biceps!! All humour aside, though, this has simple honesty.

Thanks for the replies guys :) and glad you could see the figures, though I was fighting a bit with how obvious or not to make them. I guess what I was aiming for was the way you stare into a fire and see all sorts of figures and things -but a bit hard to capture in a static picture -well for me anyway. When I look at this from a few feet away I really like it -up close here on the monitor it ..well.......

Sensuous, hot, exciting- you have done a marvelous job of insinuating the entwined figures into the flames. Coulda been the album cover for Johny Cash's "Ring of Fire " !! And the best part is, unlike irl, this heat can be enjoyed forever ! :D    Well done !!!

Don't know about simplistic, I think it's very fiery and full of flaming movement!
The figures are great and I like the 'audience' viewing the big screen!
The colours are nice and clean - as fire should be, so good on yer kid!
