Wow! That was fast. I like the selection of nice, bold colours. I'm just curious - do you use thick paint, or go over it a few times?

Thanks everyone - this one was posterized which I find a great help as it not only shows me the different highlights etc but I get to paint lovely vibrant colours which i love to do.

Joy I usually do a couple of washes - I water the colour down only slightly on the first wash then go over it with the 'thicker' wash.

Sizzlin! Love the wild color!
By posterised, do you mean you look at a posterised version of the image from a graphics program?
I sometimes do that for a first layer; it helps to show the values and color masses.

Yes Wendy - that is exactly what I do - then I paint it....lol

You use color like Kandinsky. Vibrates. I also picked this photo for another time.

Very pretty. A great saturation of color. It left an image on my retinas. I can still see it while I type this.
