a lot of elements went right in this one

great eye for the color
nice range of values
engaging composition
nice capturing the light

this a really good painting

I see big green faces arguing
and tiny people ambling around
the water is interesting

Thank you my friend! I am happy you had a positive meditation on my painting this morning. I agree with you, and celebrate the aspects of harmony I achieved in this one. It was the first painting I did outdoors in some time (back in July).Since we had our child, it is tough to find a day solely to myself!

You say I have a great eye for color. I'm not fully understanding why I filter what I see into such high color...maybe it never seems true enough, so I say why not......it is paint you know....

this composition is semetrical
the horizontal bottom is important to the verticals and "V'
