Yaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnn!!! This is mine after about 2 hrs ( very broken up 2 hrs.) Right now it's 2 am and I need to get to bed!!! I will work on it more tomorrow...
It's done with WN soft pastels on Canson WC block... I also did an underpainting but I don't think it made much of a difference...
The colors are alittle off... not as dull IRL.
Thx for lookin...Any comments and suggestions welcome!!! :D
Thank you Lisilik for all the great photos to chose from!!! It was a really hard choice.

Dania ( what a beautiful name, )
This is a terrific start. You completely caught the true colors of that old rusty bucket and the perspective. This will be great...once you get a little rest of course. Lovely !

good job, Dania....you got a great start.....I think all my paintings show up duller here, too. Glad to see you made it to the wde.

Gosh this is a popular subject - must admit I have snagged it for later - love the colours in this - cant wait to see it finished.
You've achieved a lot for two hours, nice work, great use of colours in the old car and good perspective.

Doesn't need much more at this point; already looking good... a bit of punching up the highlights and darks should do it.My images often show duller than RL, too, so it's easy to imagine this one looking brighter. Nice one!

I love the richness of the reds on the old car. Contrasting with the lively greens. Its looking very good!!
boy this is the week for pastel and cars! Great job...almost picked this one, see I left it to people who could do well with it!

Your precision drawing of the old car is wonderful- you sure do good work when sleep deprived ! :D I think I see by your background colours that it's spring on the prairies- that looks like the delicious green of newly sprouted wheat ! The car colours just sing- great work, muffin !!

Hi evryone....Thx for all your comments....it pushed me to get it finished today......At least I think it's finished....What do you think?
I think my total time spent on it was about 5 hrs....Kinda hard to judge when you keep getting interupted...  ........I think I need a sign to put on the back of my chair that reads "Creative process in Progress......DO NOT DISTURB!!!".. ... I doubt it would work though......my 3 yr old can't read.... :( :p :D
8" X 10 1/2"
I can officially say I broke in my new W&N soft pastels...This is my first completed piece with them. :D

It turned out great. I really like your color choices on the car :).
BTW - if you print up a bunch of those signs - send one my way! :p

You really made it zing with the extra time. I am old enough to think that this is the ways cars should be made - who would abandon a perfectly new car?

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Pastels work great for rust.
