Glad to see you again. I love your loose brush strokes. Aren't those old pumps cool ? You captured the foreboding clouds nicely too !

What a bold strong interpretation of the pumps !! No slave to the common approach, you have taken this image and truly made it your own !! The creamy, thick rich paint adds to the determination of this painting- absolutely nummy !

Love this bold and confident painting, the sureness and masterful strokes, how well you know your medium. Cracking work!
How do you manage to photo this without any glare from the wet paint?

As everyone says, great texture. I do like my watercolors, but it does lack that texture effect.

I love you guys! Thank you so much for the comments.
I earlier spent 30 minutes drafting an individual response to each of you and my system crashed and I lost what I had intended. I don't have the wherewithal to do it all over.

I think there were 2 questions:

Mo. How do you manage to photo this without any glare from the wet paint?

I have a 300-500 watt shop light that hangs from above at an angle pointing towards the side edge of my canvas. I have a nearby florescent and incandensent light also. around the same vicinity pointing towards the edge of the canvas. I have a very small window behind me letting in natural light. Twiddling with the setting on the camera sometimes. I also will sometimes use a paper towel (even folded) covering the flash of the camera to diffuse the light. Trial and error... This particular shot was the 4th attempt and it seemed to be about as good as I could tolerate although is dulled some of the greens a bit. I think this one made it in finally without any flash at all. I am not always that lucky.

Bertoni Palette knives???
Yes mostly. Afterwards touched with about 4 different bristle brushes.
