Whoooooweeee - the ol' pastels were flyin'. One hour to draw, one hour to fill in - I know there are things that need fixing, but best I could do in 2 hours.

Soft pastels - Canson - 20" x 25"

Thanks for putting this photo in - I love it and I've been wanting to do an interior forever - first one for me!

Kyle

So glad you did this one too. It was my fav tho I can't take credit for the composition as it was left that way 75 years ago. LOL.

I really like your choice of colors, picking more jewel tones. Love the cabinets and light. Can't wait to see this finished !!

I really like the color contrast between the green and red table, the light is coming along nicely in this also.

Thanks to everyone on this - I wasn't quite sure what I would come up with - my first interior now has me hooked!

Dyin - glad you caught the light on the floor - that really caught my eye and I may do another with just one chair and the sunlight on the floor.

What powerful greens you made come alive. I was considering this one for the composition of it, but I went with another one. I am reminded of some of Vangogh's work by looking at this. Those green's are awesome. Impressively rendered.

Aggressive approach to color....I love it....Lot of "eye appeal" I can tell you had fun...it just emits "happy"... The open cabinet door is really "swingin' " :D NICE

Wow, you've brought the life and vigor back into this kitchen that it had lost for the past 70 years ! The complementaries just sing :music: , and I love the straight vs curved lines in the composition. Great stuff !!

OMG - this has to be one of the biggest WDE's - I can't even get through the list in one sitting - but thanks to all of you who commented on this painting. It was fun because the photo was great and inspired.

It's funny how the most mundane subject come alive when an artist sees it. The light and the colors glow. I do like how you edited the view to unclutter it. That is an art in itself.

I would never have thought of using those colours but you have made them work really well - the complimentary colours really sing out. I'm learning so much from these WDEs and paintings like this make me feel I should be much more adventurous in using colour.

Kyle this is very nice. Love the color scheme. Sure does make one smile. I can see a red apple on that table would just finish it up perfectly. ;)

Hey Marilyn! Nice to see you participating again - that red apple idea is a smashing one. I may just give that a try - it does look a bit sparse - :D
