Hi folks,
Just wanted to say hi, I recently decided that I was going to start painting. I just went out and bought everything I think I will need, and I plan to start my first painting within the next two weeks...abstract, landscape, who knows. I can draw fairly well, I just don't know if I will be able to make the picture come to life when I start painting. Browsing some of the ppl's work on this site I am just awstruck by the enormous talent of artist. It's like some of you are able to paint just as if it were taken with a professional grade camera...simply amazing.
So anyway, I just thought I would give it a shot...lol. I am currently a student at UNC. I am majoring in finance, but started out in telecommunications, and actually work full time in broadcasting. I took one required class in college in art, but that was mainly the history of art. So this is completly new.
I will post my first painting, good or bad :) , before the end of this month.
