Here's my first try at a still life in Painter with oils and a wee bit of airbrushing ,no blending on this one :)

jean--the edges seem just a bit rough, but WOW!!! that orange in the back looks absolutely REAL.

i love the brightness of the oranges against the dark background. really makes them jump right out at you.

Thanks Amanada I am having a hard time getting the edges smooth in Painter,any and all suggestions gratefully received (polite ones that is ) :)

can't help you there...i've never been able to work in painter. tho...if i could...i would help in the most polite way possible! promise!! :)

This really is fantastic!!! The orange against black is stunning!!!!

Amanadana, may not be a painter user, but she sure can work PhotoShop.

OK...I typed that just because I wanted to use Amanadana :evil:

try either the flat oil or opaque flat . That will give fairly smooth edges, or you can use the details brushes too:)

I use the flats mostly.
