(Ok, Simon, I am painting...):p

I did this one on Saturday morning to prove I could get a paintbrush wet.

I ALSO, just stretched two canvases of my VERY OWN!!
I slopped a bunch of acrylic gesso and some of my acrylic slop, I am so well known for on them.
Did the same with this. I tried to make some sort of toned canvas.
I also just tried to make a likeness. I have to exercise a little.
I may actually have a picture or two in me.
Monday nights are going to be portrait, not life drawing. I have set a goal to work more on PICTURES, less on models.
WHATEVER THAT MEANS!

DJ. You have to know that I love your work!

I'd like to say something positive here, but, I just
don't like this one.

I'm not going to give you a critique of all the things.

Its just not for me.

Saying one doesn't like something, without critque nor valuable/helpful comment, seems a waste of everyone's time to me! Oh well!!

I love the colours in this, and the kind of quiet joy it has!
Lovely work, dj*!

yes!
but it is a bit academic since you had been pretty strong in that direction already, but to affirm it is a step on the right path fer sure.

Congratulations. I like the paint doing the work!
Do you do watercolours? The best way to use transparency as you have here on your acrylic slop;)
