Saw the cherries and knew it was time to try the box of watercolor pencils that I've had for years and not used. At first they were hard to use but a search of Wet Canvas lead me to a few posts that helped tremendously. I love this place.
Anyway here's a scan after an hour and a half and another forty minutes later.
I don't get to the WDEs as much as I would like but its still one of my favorite things on the entire web. Thanks everybody.

AJ , yummy looking cherries, love the bright color you got on them, they look delicious. Hmmm, you could have made them Bings and then they would have been from the NW. LOL

Its both scary  and exciting :) trying out a new medium, eh AJ ?! You have really delivered some lovely results- very round, shiny juicy cherries, good reflection happening there, and a strong start on the bowl. I look foreward to seeing this as you post again !

Missed your contributions recently AJ! Lovely 'wet look' cherries and strong light and shade - especially for wcp where it's not always easy to get strong colour! :)

I don't think it will take you long to master watercolors AJ. Lovely highlights on those juicy cherries and the bowl is looking good so far.
