Oh my gosh, I love the impact of it as it stands now ! Incredible feel to the rock face, and just that little reflection on the wet beach puddle- gorgeous.

Wonderful start to this scene. Love the softness of the pastels. Your cliff rock is marvelous and I love the water and the waves breaking on the rock. Will check back later to see progress.

Great start. Love that dark rocky cliff. This reminds me of the first stages of a slowly developing Polaroid.

Well, thanks everybody for your nice comments.
So, here's the finished work, another hour today.
Sorry if it's a bit blurred (the first one was blurred, too), due to me putting a transparent plastic sheet on the scanner (in order for it not to be much dirty).
I hope you like it. :)

This is very nice. I love how you have painted the sand, it's very believable as sand. I love the muted colours and the way they all work together to create a scene that makes me want to take of my shoes and walk on the beach and through the water.

So atmospheric and soft, yet you captured the sunlight, too. Very nice job on the sand. The emphasis on the reflection in the foreground really helps give this piece depth and a focal point. Nice work!
