those cookies can get you into a lot of trouble, but those long shadows will save the day.
lots of easy movement, and a big honor to a small mug of coffee.

when i find myself in times of trouble

....

i like the contrast with the strong sunlight
and shadows
nice sweep of the eye across the painting's bottom
and back across the top
the reds and blues do wonders

very peaceful, nearly universal
me and my hot liquid in the morning
moment before the world intrudes

let it be

what an arrangement of shapes
so many unique ways to tie together form
I've lost count of which cup of coffee this is for the day
thanks D

I love it *S* You have such a way of finding an interesting composition to paint. Hope I can learn to do that too *S*

Rich, luscious.. I could eat the painting. Love that long, warm light. Very well done.

Inspiring. I always look at your paintings for along time trying to learn from your use of light & shadow.
This one I like especially!
Thanks for sharing.

Just trying to decide if it is breakfast or tea time... it is getting darker earlier. That light just looks like food!
Your intimate interiors are knocking my socks off.

As always, your interiors are excellent. The piece seems a less ambiguous as ones in the past. That's note a pro or con, just an observation. Thanks for posting.
