Still a WIP. My tomatoes look more like peaches...

I'll try to finish and take a new photo tomorrow.

I disagree. I think they're looking pretty tomato-y, especially the middle one in the front. :)

The shapes are definitely tomatoes. The colors vary more.

What size is this? You got a lot done w/colored pencils, for only doing two hours - and yes, they're tomatoes - I don't see any peaches!

Good job - I'll check back for the finished work!

Very nice start for 2 hours on these tomatoes. Keep it up, and am looking forward to seeing it develop.

It amazes me how you can get so much done in colored pencil. It's a really good start on a complex subject. I don't really see peaches here, but I know what you mean, because I had the same feeling when I painted from this one a couple of years ago. I think it's because we're used to seeing supermarket tomatoes, round and flawless. Not tomatoes that have plumber's butt. Looking forward to seeing your finished piece. :)

These are the fastest 2 hours of the week, aren't they? You've got a great start.

Chiers, Deano, prestonsega, Noma, pjo, purplelizard, Andrew, cmwynn, Drumbeat-trish and Kathy thank you for the kind comments.

I still have some time to think of what I will do because my 4-year old son is not allowing his mummy to draw now... nor commenting more entries...

This is a great start. They look like tomatoes to me. They have a shine that peaches wouldn't have. I like how are defining the shadows. It really brings out the tomatoes. I am looking forward to seeing the finished painting.
