here's a small one i did a few years ago (since i have nothing new to post. sorry kj, i know you've seen this already). i had a connection at an indonesian furniture store who let me hang some paintings there for awhile. this one actually sold the first day i hung it up. i kind of miss it.

24x30" acrylic on masonite panel

ej: sucks when you don't get to live with a piece for a while, eh? Great taking home the loot from the sale, but nice to be able to soak in your endeavour. Love the simplicity of this one.. Nice colours.

cool faceless angel
great color and cleanliness of forms
nice composition
but the piece is really made by
that ribbon that doubles for loin cloth

Really very beautiful indeed. No wonder you miss it!
The colours are so perfect for the mood of this, and his stance.
Fab!

I'd be missing it to, no surprise though
saturated with expression from the surface,
background like the strata deep within
so many layers

jerry- simple and vital is what i'm always shooting for. thanks.

allanom- not that i would ever turn down a sale (well maybe on a few pieces, but not many) i do like to hang out with a piece for awhile before i see it go. thanks.

impulse- my favorite part of the painting too... thanks.

helen- thank you so much. i'm a color freah as you know.

cindy- thanks. parting is such sweet sorrow as they say...

amy- i can relate. i'm ready for a few of mine to test their wings and fly myself. thanks.

zotma- ever so eloquent and insightful. if i painted as well as you and impulse critique i'd be the next picasso. thanks.
