Originally this was going to be more realistic, but I started putting in some strange colours on the skin and decided to go with it. I'm not sure if it worked or not! I find it a little strange.

(The pictures seem to have a reddish filter over them again - I'll try to take better ones when daylight comes. The skin is quite a bit paler in reality, and the shadows in the skin are a kind of baby blue.)

if this was going to be a lot more realistic
i would expect the toddler to speak up
beautifully painted with superb detail
the background rocks
you are amazing!

Helen, I love the piece, especially the colors in the child. It is my idea, that you soften the background just a smidgen, by just blending the feathery look. The polka dot look takes away from the beautiful work you did in the child. My two cents again.
