This is black chalk on A4 paper.
Oh, I was so tired to look in the mirror for two hours.

your portrait is one of the most honestly works of art.
It is full of Life and NOT dead perfection.

Wow, I'm....er.....thank you.:)
Don't know what to say.
You're too kind for me.

gentle symetric tendencies.
would not be too hard to look at for 2 hours or more.

However this image tends to be much softer than the actual person :D:D:D

It's funny how eyes in self-portraits always tend to grow slightly:)
When you're rested from the 2 hour staring, you should do another one. You already have stored tons of information and it could make something different and as interesting..

Nice to "meet" you! This is an informative and revealing portrait study that I would like to see further developed in your edgey style...
Minor point: The heaviness in the chin suggests you may have had your head tilted slightly back? or sat very close to mirror?
I can't wait to get back to portrait classes next week...

almost missed this one. a beautiful drawing sergey. i love the subtlety of the mark making and the wide eyed honesty of the expression.

alva: Thank you:D
aaasp: The eyes are ok in this one (realistic size):).
The lips don't have perfect likeness though (something too soft there).
Another self-portrait? Maybe. But next time I want to do it in oil and 1/2 figure size.
Thank you. Yes I sat very close to the mirrior (I was lying on the bed indeed, with mirror set vertically and paper lying on the bed, just was too tired to sit after a busy day).
Hope to see your experiments from the portrait classes too.
ejfarrae: Thank you :D
