I painted this while "listening" to one of the seashells in my collection...

I definitely need to visit the seaside when my vacations come!

This is all watercolor, over Arches, rough surface.

Comments are welcome and thanks for looking!

Hi Loki,
I love the dramatic colours and the wild ocean, a real action painting, I would never tire of looking at that one.
Well Done.
Jane.

Hi Loki,
Congratulations on the different perspective of looking from the sea to the land. Many works are the other way around and it's refreshing to see a new view. The colours and movement in the sea are great and the rocks and distant sky look suitably menacing, definitely a sailor's viewpoint here I think.
Well done.
What size is it?

Thanks Rob, Alan, Marty, Lisa and Jane... I had much fun doing this one.

I really don't listen to music while I paint... on this particular painting I just put up a small Melongena Corona sheashell against my ear... if I had an extra hand, I could've listened to the sound of the sea in stereo! :D

Structurally this is really a very simple painting, but it just oozes sophistication. I love it...

Lots of drama here. It's really nice how you captured the anger of the ocean. I think it looks marvelous.
