Painted on Saturday morning but I couldn't upload it until I got to work and borrowed the Mavica. It's 5x7 oil pastel on some thin particle board stuff primed with pumice gel tinted blue.

Very nice, Wendy. I did this one too, and it's great to see yet another concept of the same scene. Your color selection is great. What really excites me is that beautiful sparkle on the water.

I've been dying to see this! Boy, your plein aire practice really shows in this. You got the awesome color and yet it isn't all exaggerated unrealistic colors like mine. I would love to know the order you laid down the colors in. Light to dark for the most part?

(see that durn beaver was busy at your crick too! :p )

Whew! Amazing.

gah! my off-beat sense of humour struck again....with the question
"Where's the paddle?" (up the creek without a paddle)

This what I was aiming for - but didn't get in my bushes or creek. Lovely.

Lovely serene scene Wendy. Getting to know you for the wonderful colors you use. I too, especially like the sparkle on the water. How do you do that?   Sharron

Interesting crop... And it's just like plain aire! I feel like it's me sitting there painting this sketch :D Only it's oh so long before I'll be able to do plain aires like you. By the way, one you placed recently (with boat) in Oil Pastel Studio is nothing short of amazing!
