View Full Version : Pointing to the Sky

Oil on Canvas.
This one means quite a lot to me. It was finished on a sad day. If you look, the little man on the right is pointing to the sky. I do find a mystical breath to it.

gotta say I like this, even though there seems to be quite the different treatment from the loose sky to the very tight people, hill, lamps. It seems to enhance the mystery. A powerful piece but one left to our minds. I like that.

interesting and captivating but tricky.
this one is a bit of a diagram since the detail is more important than the totality.

This is a very interesting composition full of details.
I like: a) as usual the combination of browns and blues (a small touch of blue in the sky near the left upper corner)
b) the transition of color in the background
c) the woman wearing a kodak yellow dress
d) a touch of red
e) the location of people forming differentiated groups.
I give you a ten or an alfa plus.

You say it was finished on a sad day, yet it looks like the end of a sad time, like the clouds or smoke is lifting slowly but surely.
Love the colors and the silhouettes.
