I always lose track of the time when I do traditional work but my best guess is close to two hrs anyway. This is acrylic on 9"x12" canvas paper.

Trees are nicely done. I like the blue in the tree trunk.
I really liked this image and was going to do it. I like your
impressionist representation.

Wow! Very nice. That old tree that's been through all the world could throw it's way stands out nicely from the equally well done background trees.

This is very well done, Sherry. It looks like a tiny photograph before you enlarge it. I like the variation in light and shadow amongst the trees.

I sure like the way you've tucked the old tree into some shadow- it's like you are walking along a forest path, turn the corner and find this hidden treasure !
Very pretty painting in the ground level colours and shadows !

Nicely done! You've captured the 'spilled innards.'
And even at the instant of its demise, it's still reaching for the sky.

you sure have caught the focal point well within this. I also am admiring the shadow under the branches of the trees. Nice. -vanity

Thanks so much for all your comments everyone! :D

I even decided after a couple small improvements that I liked this one enough to frame it.

Good strong representation of all the trees. The focal point is good, but I like the background as well.
