The yellow got my attention and my first thoughts were that it was perfect to do in oil but I don't do oil anymore... Thought I might get them out for this but then decided to see what I could do with watercolor. Here is two hours worth...

I did this in watercolor, too, but yours is much crisper an clearer. I made too mud in mine. But at least we both put in the log - that was left out of the others I have seen so far.

Please forgive me, connie for leaving out the log...I promise never to do it again..Lol! :D

Nice job, Helen. The yellow and red set up a nice pattern to lead the eye. Your colors are clean and strong. Lovely.

This is really good Helen. Almost abstract...I love your simplified shapes in this. I don't seem to be able to do things "loosely"- But you have shown how it should be done.

Very nice painting. Love the color. I admire anyone who can do anything with watercolors.

What beautiful colour action in the wet-in-wet technique you have achieved here ! The translucency (I can spell it but I can't paint it !LOL) is delightful !
A very fresh, spontaneous feel here- well done !!

just enough blending and no over kill with the wet on wet technique here . tough to do .
the "blossoms" are in prefect sync with the painting
nice work.

A little more work on Clover Creek. I have two critics in my house... one of them I listen to because his is constructive; that would be my son. After listening to all of his comments I decided to add some of the red and yellow to the lower right and do a little more work on the water, rocks and greens. This is the result... before
