I spent two hours on this, not all at once........ PrismaColor pencils on Strathmore Artagain black paper........... 6"x 8 1/2"........ it reminds me very much of the terrain and the trees at our cabin in the mountains of Utah...... we have a tree nearby which has been hit by lightning and looks much the same as this tree........... I enjoyed this project very much......

You truly know that tree. It was a tempting photo, but very demanding.

Very nice work! So, the first 2 images I look at today just happen to be from the same ref. photo. I love how differently different artists show us "the same" reality. ;)

This looks so interesting. It reminds me of a dark, scary forest.

Looks good!

I have this one started too in acrylic. About 1/2hr into it but I had to quit for a while. I don't think I would be brave enough to take it on in cps.

Guess I'm a wierd one- this doesn't make me feel spooked at all ! The variety of colours and delightful textures really speak to me- the scene feels calm, regal and timeless. The delicacy of the strokes is fascinating. I think this is gorgeous !

nice interpretation. soon as I saw this "The Circle Of Life" Song started running thru my head I don't use cp's so can only imagine how much work this was.
nice job

I get the feeling of an arctic blast and the 'figure' is trying to get the ragged cloak ends to close to keep some heat in. :)

We don't have much woods like this in Holland, so it is fascinating to look at. Serene and calm. :D

Thank you so much for your kind comments....... this spot represents to me, a safe and warm place to be........ a haven, away from noise and stress....... a lovely place to draw or paint...... or just curl up and watch the deer come by........... I've tweaked it a bit, beefing up the hollow log just a tad, and brightening the sky a little....... I may try one of the other images in the WDE.........
