"holy doodle!"
this is so Fagan and so beautiful
like you found your golden mean
true to self and true to your art.
it seems to say everything all
at once in one glance and to
keep saying it joyfully when one looks back.

Holy Doodle?? *LAUGH* I like that...
thank you for your comments. I have been away for a while...stymied by my own mind...then travel...then the tragic events in NYC and Washington DC. It is a wonder I can paint at all. It came in a burst and translated to this when I was finished...approx. 30 minutes on a 11 x 14 canvasboard.

good ole 30 minute magic!

glad to see you back around!

we have matching tiny-heads :D

Jeanette...*laugh* I guess that means we see eyeball to eyeball....thanks for the comments!

Ahhhh! refreshing, bright, almost happy... but more like calm and lively (if these two words can be put together).

Great posting fagan! This is one of your best ones to my taste.

Ladysue...thank you! I am just happy to be paintnig again. *SMILE*

Very lovely, Beverly! I love the whirly sky, and the colours, and the overall mood. Great!

Helen...thank you for your comments! I do appreciate them. I just put this painting up for the special auction on eBay. The proceeds go to the September 11th fund. Here is the link if you would like to view:
this is the second auction I have put up for this effort.

aaaasp...thank you for your comments. I have enjoyed viewing your work.

Hi Impulse...it is good to see you again! *SMILE*
what a long strange trip it has been...eh?

09-20-2001, 10:25 PM
good to see you fagan
i wish it had been a good trip

09-21-2001, 06:58 AM
Oh I like it .
The colors are too bright in blue objects, according to my taste, but the whole scene is beautiful.

Impulse...I have found that there is always something positive that comes out of a very negative situation. I have lived through several. It may not be tomorrow or next year...but something directly linked to this negative will happen in a positive way.

Sergey...thank you! *SMILE* I agree...sometimes my blues are toooo blue.

I love this fagan, an explosion of color and life. I know what you mean when you say that it has been difficult for you to paint after last week events....I have had the same problem, but finally I am painting again and my colors are even stronger, even defiant....

09-22-2001, 04:59 AM
Rita...it is strange that you should say that about the explosion of color. I too felt the same when painting this. It did not take very long to do ....it was almost like I did not have control of the brush. Thank you for the comments. *SMILE*

wow. it's hard to believe this was created in thirty minutes. beautiful movement in the waves of wheat, the swirling sky. your colors are subtle and at the same time intense. this is great.

So alive! It made my heart soar the moment I saw it. I keep going back to see, and yes, it happens every time. Love it.

Wheat field are so gorgeous and you captured the golden colors so beautifully. The swirly skies make me think of wind and fresh air on a sunny day. The trees nestles in to the field add a perfect touch. Slightly bend tree tops giving in to the wind. I think the painting is poetry.

In addition to the colour, the rhythm and movement provides a great vitality in this work Bev. It is interesting how quick paintings can work so well, I find that if I labour them, I lose the vitality. <p>

ejfarrae..thank you! It is a little different style for me.

MudmixerLinda...thank you for your comments! I am glad you like this one.

Ginette...thank you for commenting. I was trying for the movement of the wind. *SMILE*

Fred..I always seem to do better work when I paint fast. I am not sure why that is....but it works for me. Thank you.

Beautiful, as always, Beverly.

I'm in awe, 30 minutes!
