Decided to give Big ben a fantasy treatment. This is gouache, about 12 by 16 ins, lana watercolour paper.

To give a bit of explanation: I associate Big Ben withgoing to see an exhibition by Picasso at the Tate gallery about 10 years ago.

There was a disturbance in my environment towards the end of my painting process today, and so I rushed the end and spoiled it I think.

Even so, I like the fantasy way of working in general.
I also like the earlier posting of images. Great photos to work from!!

The Tate Gallery's quite interesting. I've been there twice. Thank you for the kind words on the photos.

Love the Fauvist colors, and the style reminds me of Chagall (I LOVE Chagall!).

I'm a realist and was happier when I finally spotted the clock. But the colors are eye-opening.

Thanks all for the very nice comments. keeps me going!!
I tried to delete this thread before anyone saw it...but couldn't...just as well since the picture was liked.

I want to do more in this kind of fantasy way of working. For me its joy. The realism is hard work.

See you all next weekend, hopefully!!
