Ah ha....finally I'm not one of the latest to post my wde painting. :D I like this friday posting! Thanks for the great pictures Stoney. My Aspen trees are done in painter 8 using the impasto brushes only. Downsizing for posting took a heavy toll on this one though.

(grin) Sounds like the Friday posting is going to get a popular response. You're very welcome. Even through the heavy toll, it's still fantastic.

Sherry, that is so awesome I had to reply before I post mine!! It's just awesome....this photo really struck me, too, but I have it saved for later.

Great job!!

Edited to add....I just took another look and have to say...I love the trees but I really like the way you did the light on the ground.

Gee....Thank you!!

Yes I couldn't resist those trees. So bright and beautiful they had to be painted.

Beautiful... yes, I liked the Friday posting. I know I won't be able to get to things this afternoon so I've picked three, now I need to narrow it down to the one I'm going to do.

Wonderful! How ever did you get the grain of the earth? (not that I would be likely to understand your answer lol)

I really like the balanced vibrancy, and the three dimensional impact has knocked my socks off !! What a beautiful painting ! I don't think this has lost anything it needed in the downsizing- its great the way it is !

My thanks to everyone who has commented on this! I had fun doing this one. It seems to have been a very popular one to do as there have been so many great versions posted.
