although I used digital chalk in Painter 8. Time to get back in the swing of things...I finally found the button to start a new discussion.. I have added the attachment but previewing does not show it...so I can't tell if you can see it...

no digital reference for this, but inspired by a watercolor picture in a book which I loosely followed.

Book, this is definitely watercolory :D
It has a lovely light feeling and glow! I like the composition too! Also love the way the surface picks up the reflected light. You might want to go a tad deeper with the shadowing to ground everything nicely. Lovely "watercolor"!

thank you, it was fun, kinda quick and dirty... I have a tendency to overwork things and get a smooth, mechanical look. So this was to get back in the "swing" and to loosen up a little.
