although I used digital chalk in Painter 8. Time to get back in the swing of things...I finally found the button to start a new discussion.. I have added the attachment but previewing does not show it...so I can't tell if you can see it...
no digital reference for this, but inspired by a watercolor picture in a book which I loosely followed.

Book, this is definitely watercolory :D
It has a lovely light feeling and glow! I like the composition too! Also love the way the surface picks up the reflected light. You might want to go a tad deeper with the shadowing to ground everything nicely. Lovely "watercolor"!

thank you, it was fun, kinda quick and dirty... I have a tendency to overwork things and get a smooth, mechanical look. So this was to get back in the "swing" and to loosen up a little.

Lovely, great pastel color, washed look and the pitcher is magnificent....nicely done!

love the reflection in the water...great job!
i'm with you on the overprocessed look. all my stuff ends up looking like pixelized velveeta...all matchy matchy smoooooooth. :)
