I did this by sampling , and didn't feel like i was 'really' painting ....
...then i just went berzerk and applied some tweaks and filters....

I feel better when i draw and paint from scratch.
This time, when i was sampling, it felt just like 'cloning' in Painter.....

..................here's the result......... what do you think...?...

Hey I like this, very raw as with the subject.... an't it great when the don't run around.

I like your colours even if you did get them from the origianl, you have used them well.

One of the things that can be done in painter, is create a Colour set from an image. This would give a more freedom artist sort of thing to your image.

Great image

Jet, I like this piece. It's very energetic! You have a great eye and also you have the experience to travel many different roads that lead to a successful end. Don't get too "distracted" by method ideology. Sure, it's important, but not at the expense of results. Great results here!

I like your fruit Jet. The background I think is a bit too busy and should be either a darker, or lighter tone to it.

Thanks all for your valuable feedback, now i don't feel so inadequate.....
..
Jean, Glad you like bright hues..that's a tendency a have to fight sometimes.
Clare, you're right about the 'color set' in Painter...is there a way to do it in PS ?
they're called swatches in PS , ain't they
Joel, you're right ..too much thinking in labels spoils the fun..
Sherry,Yep, that's it the background is competing against the whole picture..
i'll make the background lighter, i guess

Hi, I just wanted to stop in and state how beautiful art is. I really like it even with the dark back ground :)

I love this - its really fresh and vibrant, and I like the sketch too! Digital art employing traditional processes. Think I preferred the original background, though.

Welcome to DigiArts Forum Susan...
Thanks for your words.. . i feel myself torn between the two
...and i tried one by mixing these 2, 50-50 and didn't look right-too monotonous !!

Feel at home and free to post when you're ready..
