My 80+ aunt gave this plaque to me, all beat up. It meant something to her.

I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good therefore, that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show to
any human being let me do it now.

Let me not deter or neglect
for I shall not pass this way again.

At the bottom of the plaque it says: 1976 Alan W. Weiner.

Lovely words,
We are only here temporarily, every good deed makes it that much more worthwhile, life is precious,
Rod.

Thanks for answering me, Rod. I only want to help others, but feel a little invisible sometimes.
The best to 'ya...

No, you´re not invisible.

I like that poem (and recognize how far I am from what I know is right and good to do).

all the best

Thanks for the poem Jen!
I agree! Every good deed makes life precious! From sincere apologies to those who demand it in order to heal their spirtual wounds, to dressing a wound with salves and bandages to heal the physical wounds. From writing a note to starve off misunderstandings to writing the President to save the Children.
From offering kindness and compassion to those who are heavy laden, to forgiving those who have burdened us.
There is SO much we can do. Healing another's spirit is perhaps the best kind of deed we can do. The family here at WC is one gigantic step ahead of most, even though there is still so much to do. Thanks Jen, for reaching out and reminding us to never stop reaching out.
