Just got the basics done,dont know what i'm going to put in or leave out yet,not sure about the tree or bush,but still a ways to go :D

This speaks volumes as is !!! I don't think you need much more than finishing the sky and ground - personally I think putting the tree in would distract from the lovely atmosphere of the figures -just my opinion :)

I agree with Trish...skip the tree, it would only detract from the great job you did with the people! It's wonderful! :clap: :clap: :clap:

Wow! It looks great! The depth in this painting is wonderful. This is a picture of my husband, brother-in-law and daughter about 5 years ago. They'll get a big kick out this. I don't think I told my husband that he was in one of my pictures.:)

You've really captured the scene of the little girl tagging along with Dad. Really enjoying looking at the back of Dad's shirt with those fabric lines. Look forward to seeing what else you do.

This is beautiful. I especially like the shirt on "Dad". The whole thing has a nice feel and nice choices of color.

Oooo, really neat -- especially those sooo soft shirt fabrics! I guess you sorta hafta finish the sky part... is it pastels? CP? Looking really good!

Thanks one and all for viewing and your comments,it is soft pastel and the size is 10x8 inches.
katju,first of all thanks for a great W.D.E.,I kinda looked at fire hydrant boy and thought maybe but as i'm not so hot on likeness i went for this one hehe no faces :D lol,but i may have a go at it some time,btw you have captured his expression and i like it lots :) also i hope you and your family enjoy this and it brings back some happy memories.

Don't know how I missed this earlier Guilli - this is a beautiful pastel.
I really like the way you've handled the folds and creases to describe the bodies beneath - so many people forget how clothes hang on a person!

The colours too are so apt for the subject - top marks! :D
