I like the loosness of your sky and trees. This is very nice.

A simple palette and technique yields lovely results, much as the Creator of this scene IRL accomplished. I love seeing what different artists can do with such simple sources of inspiration. :)

agreed! I thought it was pastel too--very nice indeed--a pleasant rural feel --would look great in a frame!

It's as though the viewer can "feel" the different elements in this painting. Good work.

Nicely done! There's a lot to 'chew on' here.
I especially liked the way you did the fence.

The fence is my favorite part of this truly "country" painting.

Very nice! I like the soft loose technique you used here.

Thank you very much. I kinda like the sky myself....but the fence I thought I should have angled it a little more and made it a little more obvious that is was going away..oh well, next time.

I'm really enjoying this. Did you dab the paint on for all the grass/foliage and for the sky? Your technique has given this a really good depth. (Sorry, but I don't paint; maybe the answer would be obvious to everyone else.) I also like the texture you showed in the fence, especially in the highlights. This scene just invites me right in.

It looks like pastels! I like the rythmic quality.

Yes, kinda Roslyn, I brushed the blue in the sky, then pounced the clouds, then used a mop over them, then pounced a little more on the brights....the trees were pounced with 2 or 3 or 4 colors.....the grasses were slapped on with a mixture of 3 colors on a old fan brush..just playing to see if I could get the look I wanted and get the white all covered. Then after the fence I did a few detail blades in front.

I really love the simplicity in the result...but obviously your great technique was quite involved. You make it look so easy. :)

I love the way the coulds are piling here. Neat compsition too! Geat job, Sylvia!
Interestingly, is it green rabbit in the sky ? :D

About that green rabbit in the sky ... :D :D
This sure turned out well, the fence caught my eye right away, the textures are palpable. Love the tree tops, so much contour and texture ! And the sky is infinately interesting with the cloud structure and colours ! Altogether, a delightful painting !!
