What would you say if I told you I took this picture this morning?? I didn't get all my homework done for WDE...My kids and I went gallivanting this morning trying to find some more good pics and ended up at a state park nearby. It's be a full day for us...I love the texture you've achieved in the distant trees and foliage. Looks good.

Such sophistication in simplicity - love the (lack of) details! Nicely done! :)

Nice pencil work...turned into a great sketch!

Kathy, I'm glad you took this one this morning...it's another I saved! I love kid pics, to try and paint!

I especially like the trees & shrubbery in the distance -- very realistic! I was drawn to this pic too -- I like your interpretation.

Nice graphite sketch.
When one is done so rapidly, it's as though it's done from life instead of a photo. Good job.

Thank you all so much for your nice comments.
Kathy when I looked at those pictures I thought I would have a look at the landscape myself like that. Just stand there and watch. :D
Deano with your comment, the teacher I had this winter, achieved what he wanted me to do: Make sketches in the open air as quickly as possible. Show the essence of the landscape, the place were you are at the moment and you don't have much time to make a sketch.
Thanks all of you.
Now I'm going to take a look at the others.

This reminds me of the drawings in books I read as a child-young teenager. Now I want to read the story here.

Summer-like weather; open fields, a whole day ahead of 'em. That's what you captured here. Nice!
