Hi Victoria, I was thinking about doing something similiar on a full sheet of WC paper after the disaster we just had.Nice job on yours, did you use WC or acrylics.
Regards Tony.

Thank you, Tony. It's watercolor on Claybord Textured. Only 9" x 12". I'll look forward to seeing yours.

It somehow came easily yesterday, but in my previous feeble attempts at abstract expressionism I could never really get out of my own way enough to do it, if that makes any sense.

Victoria..

I started mine between my last post and this one. Washed the whole paper in various colors I'm going to add some more and maybe some acrylics and see what happens. This is my first Abstract (my attempts at water color were OK but for now I want to experiment). I am looking foward to getting a Dig. Camera so I can post, but I don't know when. I've been out of work for 3 mo. with my back(and I had the time to start to paint, something I always wanted to do but was afraid to try but glad I did)!!!!!!!!!!!!

it looks great, lots of interesting shapes and layers. I like the texture of the Claybord. I'm looking forward to Tony's abstract painting.

Yes, the texture is wonderful with the watercolor. Has a nice hazy feel to it.

Tina.

Thank you, Colorme, and thank you, Tina.

The texture is partly the Claybord and partly the granulating paints.

Thanks,
Victoria

like the texture as well, also the octopus like form (center right)...I don't know just grabs me. the more solid forms on the textured wash give it nice dimension.
